A great site to look through photographs or plans of Royal Navy related items. Covers the whole history of the Royal Navy.
Imperial War Museum – Online Collection
Excellent photographs from both world wars, some valuable reference on here. Searching for items can be slow but well worth it once you find whatever it is you're looking for.
Vickers Photographic Collection
Originally developed as a marketing tool and was used to illustrate the process and prowess of shipbuilding in Barrow to prospective clients. The images were taken by professional photographers employed by Barrow Shipyard and span a period of almost a century of work at the Yard from the 1870s until the 1960s.
Ontheslipway
A blog dedicated to the obsession of one man building a 1/350 HMS Hood. An amazing website with some great reference mostly about the Hood but also a few other subjects, well worth a look.
Naval History and Heritage Command
A valuable source of high-res imagery, mainly US Navy based but also has lots of high resolution photographs of the worlds other Navies.

An absolute must for anyone modelling or creating Guns or Weapons for any of the worlds Navies. Absolutely vital source of data regarding technical specifications, plans and photographs.
WW2 Cruisers
Very interesting website dedicated to the WW2 Cruisers. This has some great information and colour line drawings depicting many cruisers through different stages of their careers.
